 ADMINISTRATIVE SCHOOL DISTRICT 10

FIVE-YEAR LOCAL OPTION TAX FOR DISTRICT OPERATIONS

Question: Shall the District levy $0.52 per $1000 of assessed value each year for five years beginning 2011-2012 for operations? This measure renews current local option taxes.

Summary: This measure authorizes Administrative School District 10 (Seaside, Gearhart, Cannon Beach) to levy a property tax in the amount of $0.52 per $1000 of assessed value each year for five years. The taxes would be used to help finance District operations. Without the additional revenue, the District would have to reduce staff and services.

An estimate of the total amount to be raised each fiscal year is:

2011-2012             $1,315,754

2012-2013             $1,355,226

2013-2014             $1,395,883

2014-2015             $1,437,759

2015-2016             $1,480,892

Total amount of local option tax to be raised $6,985,514.

The estimated tax cost for this measure is an ESTIMATE ONLY based on the best information available from the county assessor at the time of the estimate.
