There are four ways to pay your property taxes:
1. By Mail: The U.S. Postal Service postmark is the date the payment will be considered received, as mandated by state statute. Some postal facilities forward their mail to a larger Postal Center for postmarking. This may delay the actual date your payment is postmarked and jeopardize eligibility to a significant discount on your taxes. Please take appropriate steps to ensure your payment is postmarked on or before Nov. 15.
Mail payments to:
Clatsop County Tax Collector
820 Exchange St., Suite 210
Astoria, OR 97103
2. Local banks: All branches of Clatsop Community Bank, Wauna Federal Credit Union and Bank of Astoria receive payments for the current year by Nov. 15. Payments for delinquent years should not be made at the banks.
3. Drop off payments at the Clatsop County Tax Office at the counter at 820 Exchange St.(second floor), Astoria. A drop box is available if you wish to avoid a line. Open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., except holidays.
4. Pay Taxes Online.
